Tue Aug 5, 2008, 3:02 PM
Been home from Boston for two and a half weeks. Have been working and sleeping and trying to get over my jetlag. Not fun. Thought I was pregnant, but luckily I was not...but in a way I'm dissappointed too. Strange...I really, really miss my friends in Boston!!! SO. BLOODY. MUCH. And my best friends live in Brazil and Germany and another city. Bah! So stupid! And everyone else are busy working for the summer and of course they live elsewhere too. I hate living in the countryside!!! Even though it's only during the holidays. I'm so BOOOOOOOOORED!!!!! But at the same time I'm really, really, really looking forward to moving to Scotland! Edinburgh...it'll be such a blast!

Exams...

Mon May 5, 2008, 10:09 AM
More exams around the corner. Can't say I'm particularly thrilled, but it'll be really nice when we're through with them all. I'm still procrastinating a great deal, but have realized that if I'm going to pass I really must start studying pretty soon. Not nice. At all.

But there are birthdays and parties and national holidays and summer and all sorts of wonderful things coming to distract me from the utter boredom that is a Foundation Year in Psychology. So glad I'll be studying English Literature from now on. Most likely in Scotland. Have been accepted; just need to decide which uni I'll choose. Joy!

Me, myself and I (and S) are fidgeting daily (to everyone's great chagrin) because we're so excited about going to Boston for the summer (to summer school!!! I still don't understand how I agreed to go in the first place and why I'm looking forward to it so much). But we'll meet loads of new people and probably some cute guys as well, so we're pretty much saved:)

  • Mood: Excited
  • Listening to: Soundtrack from Amelie
  • Reading: Psychology textbooks (again!)
  • Watching: Desperate Housewives
  • Playing: Still haven't got time to play the piano
  • Eating: Food I'm not allergic to
  • Drinking: Triple espresso

i've been sick for about two and a half weeks now, and luckily i'm almost well again. exams start in a fortnight. i have three (THREE!) rather thick and very difficult books to finish before that. not looking forward to it! at all! uni is hard. life is hard, and all that jazz.

after the first exam i've got to fly north to go to my cousin una's baptism (or name party, i should probably say, since they are atheists). it'll be nice seeing them again, as well as their new flat. a break'll do me a world of good!

and of course, only two more months till i and s. go to boston for the summer. yay! really looking forward to it.

Still bored and feeling slightly grumpy because of

Fri Jun 29, 2007, 10:33 AM
I am still incredibly bored! All my friends are living really far away, and the ones who are close are busy. Great! I need to think positive! But what's positive about my knee injury?! Huh, nothing - absolutely nothing. I'm so annoyed, because I can't dance, work out at the gym or wear high heels - at all. I've also discovered I need reading glasses. That's why I've got trouble reading the notes when I'm playing the piano. Talk about having a crappy month! I feel like all I do is bitching, but at least I get things off my chest.

  • Mood: Grumpy
  • Listening to: Holiday - Venke Knutson
  • Reading: Daniel Deronda - George Eliot
  • Watching: Desperate Housewives
  • Playing: Scott Joplin - some jazz piece - still...
  • Eating: Basil and oregano bread
  • Drinking: Water
